Acne Vulgaris is nothing more than the official scientific name for what most people just call ‘acne.’ It is a blanket term for all manner of acne expressions- whether they are whiteheads, blackheads, pimples or other similar blemishes, as well as the inflammation of the skin around the blemish. Most people will have some level of acne at some point in their life, as even those with clean and clear skin occasionally get a pimple or some blackheads. However, for some people acne is a huge problem. These people come down with very severe cases of acne that last for years. For some of these people, their acne lasts for their whole lives, or at least leaves its mark with acne scarring.

One of the worst things about acne is the fact that it can be so widespread. Some people just get it in specific parts of their face, other people get it all over their face and their necks. Other people get them all over their chests, shoulders and backs.

There are a lot of causes for acne. For example, the pimples, blackheads and whiteheads all erupt when your pores become clogged with oil, dead skin, dirt and other debris. The pore gets blocked up and builds up and forms either a whitehead or a blackhead. This can continue to grow, and it can also burst and spread it’s toxins outwards, inflaming the outside area, creating a pimple. These pimples can then grow and fill up with puss and turn into painful cysts. Because they start with a blockage, they can be caused by the body overproducing oil due to hormonal changes, oil or greasy makeup, medications and highly humid environments. It is also possible that certain types of foods, in addition to stress and a number of other ground level problems, can result in acne.

No one wants to have Acne Vulgaris, but no one seems to know what to do about it. And this isn’t your fault, because there is so much misinformation and so many products out there that are just scams trying to take advantage of you. If you try these products, and we bet that you’ve tried a few of them, than there’s a good chance that you know firsthand how poorly they work. In fact, so many of these so called ‘cure’s only seem to make the problem worse!
