There’s a harsh truth about acne curing products that we need to share with you. 99% of them are scams. We could make a lot more money if we went along with these scams and recommended them, but that’s just not something that we feel comfortable doing. So Does Differin Work?

We know this because we get tons of offers and samples in the mail every month, and we try them all out. We know firsthand that most of these products don’t work. On the other hand, we know the small amount of products that do work. Differin is one of those products that works and that’s worth checking out.

Sure, we do earn some commission whenever we sell some Differin on our site, but this in no way influences our opinions. At the end of the day we tell it like it is- sharing the good with the bad.

Differin is produced using what’s scientifically called Adapalene, which is a third-generation chemical which has been shown to be effective in treating acne. In general, Differin is used to treat mild and medium cases of acne, and is not often used to treat highly severe and developed cases of acne. It is a topical treatment, unlike many other oral forms of acne treatment.

In general, Differin should be applied to infected areas once a day after the infected areas have been cleaned and washed, and it is often recommended that you apply it at night before bed. Some people who use Differin find that they then suffer from some level of skin irritation around the area of application. When this happens, it’s a good idea to reduce your use of the medication and to only use it every 2 or 3 days until the irritation goes away. Continued use on a daily basis will only make the infection worse. Sometimes, for people who already are aware of the fact that they have sensitive skin, their doctor might recommend that they only apply Differin for a short period of time and that they wash it off with soap and water, and that they don’t leave it on all night.

There are Different Forms Of Differin

There are three different forms of Differin in the United States that are divided according to the different concentrations of the active agent. In the US you are able to get it as a .1% concentrated cream, a .1% concentrated gel, and a .3% concentrated gel. In other countries you are unable to purchase concentrations higher than .1%.

Like most acne treatments you might initially find that your acne gets worse. Overall Differin is used to clear up and control lower levels of acne, and doesn’t provide the same kind of deep cure that a number of other products offer.
