Acne Treatment

Please note that while we do earn commissions and are compensated if our reviews and articles result in the sale of a product, we write our reviews and our articles “warts and all.” We have never written a piece that recommends a product just to make a quick buck at the expense of our readers, and we never will.

Anyone who has suffered from acne and gone out and looked up possible remedies for their condition knows that there are a lot of different treatments out there. Furthermore, there are a lot of different kinds of acne, and each form seems to have its own laundry list of “proven” methods that have been used for years and years. There’s one problem with all of these methods- 99% of the time they don’t work, or are too dangerous to even consider. These types of treatment tend to fall into two camps- topical treatments or oral medications.

Topical treatments include things like Benzoyl Peroxide. These topical treatments tend to come as some sort of cream or gel that you either apply to all problem areas, or just to the parts of your skin that have pimples, blemishes and breakouts currently on them. Most of these topical treatments are very harsh chemicals that have to be used at very low concentrations. Even at these low concentrations these treatments are well known for causing damage to even the healthy areas of your skin. They commonly cause a lot of redness, a lot of itchiness, and a lot of dry and damaged skin, and often don’t do much to treat the acne itself.

Then there are the medications like Accutane. These are powerful medications that shouldn’t be used lightly, and probably shouldn’t be used at all. Accutane specifically is known for causing a wide variety of truly disturbing side effects- include mental disturbance, depression and suicidal tendencies. They can also damage your internal organs and cause massive organ failure like ulcerative colitis. Even if they remove all the acne from your face, you are sacrificing the overall health and wellbeing of your body by taking them- potentially for the rest of your life.

We’ve tried out a lot of the acne treatments out there. In fact, we get so many of these treatments and products in the mail that we sometimes have a hard time testing them all in a timely manner! There is one aspect of all of these products that makes our job easier though- most of them pretty obviously are scams that don’t work. There are so many magic-bullet ‘miracle‘ cures out there that don’t end up doing anything (except sometimes making your acne worse). It can get really dispiriting to get all of these samples and to quickly realize that none of them actually positively impact skin.

Except Acne No More, that is. Of all the products that we’ve reviewed this is the one that we can recommend above all. While the program makes a lot of the same claims as other products, it actually seems to deliver on them by healing your skin from the inside out. If you are going to try out an acne-curing product, than we recommend you try out Acne No More.
