Chemical Peels

The following article includes products that are available for sale and that we receive compensation for whenever a sale is made from this article. We tell you this so you understand that we are not attempting to make any money by falsely recommending any product mentioned within. There aren’t a lot of good treatments for acne out there, and there are even fewer good and viable treatments for acne scars. An acne scar is nothing more than a small scar that is the result of your skin being damaged from pimples, blemishes and other outbreaks of acne. Even though the acne itself can eventually go away and even though individual pimples can be eliminated, the scars that they sometimes leave can last forever. Not only do these scars look bad on their own, but they also serve as lasting reminders to the stress and pain caused by the acne the first time you had it.

Unfortunately it can be really hard to get rid of acne scars, and a lot of the treatments out there that claim to do this tend to be dangerous and relatively ineffective. One of these treatments is getting chemical peels for your acne scars. A chemical peel is a treatment that puts together a chemical solution that is then applied to the skin and then removed. The chemical solution burns away a layer of skin off of your face (or wherever else you have acne scars) and all that dead skin gets peeled off when the solution is removed.

Even from the description you can easily see how dangerous and harsh of a treatment a chemical peel is. They tend to produce a lot of stinging and burning, redness and irritation in the new top layer of skin, your skin can crust over, it can flake and peel, and the skin color can change. Over time chemical peels produce a distinct and recognizable skin quality that isn’t exactly natural looking.

In full honesty, resorting to chemical peels for acne scars isn’t something that we feel good about and it isn’t something that we can really recommend. There are too many negatives and side effects, and the whole process just seems way too dangerous to really recommend. This isn’t anything out of the ordinary either- in the end we’ve found that there are very few programs and products out there that we can recommend. We’ve pretty much tried them all, and at the end of the day we’ve pretty much found them all lacking. There are very few products or programs that we’ve received and tried out that seem to do much of anything, and there are even fewer that seem safe and healthy enough to recommend.

One product that we find to be totally safe and healthy is Acne No More. It’s a holistic program for healing acne that we have a lot of confidence in, and that doesn’t have any of the dangerous side effects of many of the other products out there on the market.
